Annual Aged Care Week Conference

Shelly Fletcher, Change Maker at Honey Bee Homes will be representing us at the 7th Annual Aged Care Week in Sydney in June 2026.

Aged Care Week is Australia’s premier gathering for leaders, innovators and policy-makers in the aged care sector. This year’s event is more critical than ever, as the industry navigates the implementation of the New Aged Care Act and a shift toward a rights-based, person-centered system.

Shelly will join a panel to discuss building a sustainable and person-centred future care sector. Our focus in this conversation remains steadfast; small-scale living is the gold standard for quality care. Throughout the conversation Shelly will share how the Honey Bee Homes model provides a real alternative to institutional care.

Reflecting on the upcoming event, Shelly said

“It’s a privilege to represent the Honey Bee Homes team. Each day our home companions, clinicians and home managers make a positive difference for residents and ultimately the sector by consistently showcasing what true person-centred care is.  Most of our senior team have worked in traditional aged care. We understand the complexity of providing community and residential care. Person-centred care is not a buzzword for us though. It’s what we do."

We believe staying at the forefront of industry innovation is vital. By participating in these national conversations, we continue to promote the value of small-scale living whilst learning from others.
