The Human Touch in a Digital World

While visiting the Bangalow Show, one particular piece of work caught our eye. We were struck by how Johnny’s art brought a home to life.

We were struck by how Johnny’s art brought a home to life. At Honey Bee Homes, we use technology to advance care, but we never use it to replace the value of a person. When it came time to refresh our website, we wanted hand-drawn images of our homes. We could have easily opted to generate images in seconds. But we chose a different path.

Instead, we collaborated with Johnny from Cairns. As a retired architect and talented artist, he was the perfect person for the job. Within hours of our request, Johnny sent us a sketch that blew us away; five days later, the originals arrived in the post

Johnny said "it was so nice to be asked." He then went on to suggest we turn the drawings into postcards so our residents can stay in touch with family and friends. A truly neat idea.

It was a joy to collaborate with Johnny. In a world where we rarely have to wait for anything, there is something special about the creative process. We encourage you to collaborate with seniors about aged care.
